If you choose not to use Parallels Plesk Panel to manage your Windows dedicated server, you can use Microsoft's Remote Desktop Connection to access and manage your dedicated server.
To Access Your Dedicated Server Using Remote Desktop Connection
- From the Start Menu in Windows XP, select All Programs > Accessories > Communications > Remote Desktop Connection.
- Enter the IP address for your server.
NOTE: You can find your IP address in your Dedicated Hosting Manager.
- Enter your user name and password:
- User Name
- Use either "Administrator" or the User ID you defined when you set up your account.
- Password
- As defined during account setup.
