Updating Your Domain Name's IP Address for Forwarding

When you set up domain name forwarding, we can automatically update the domain name's IP address to use our forwarding IP address. If the automatic update doesn't occur, you must update the address manually so our domain name forwarding services work correctly.

  1. Log in to your GoWebsite account.
  2. Next to Domains, click Manage.
  3. How you update your IP address will depend on the view of your account.

    Card View

    In Card View, your account will look something like this:

    1. Select the domain name you want to use, click Text Icon (Settings) and select Domain Details.
    2. Select the DNS Zone File tab.
    3. Click Text Icon Edit.
    4. Select the A (Host) record you want to update, and then click Text Icon Edit next to the IP Address.
    5. For Points to, type 50.63.202.1.
    6. Click Save Zone File.

    List View

    In List View, your account will look something like this:

    1. Click the domain you want to use, and then select the DNS Zone File tab.
    2. Select the A (Host) record you want to update, and then click Edit Record.
    3. For Points to, type 50.63.202.1
    4. Click Save, and then click Save Changes.
