Using TXT Records from Google to Verify Domain Ownership

To prove that you control a domain name, Google® lets you use TXT records. TXT records are part of your domain's DNS that don't affect your website. They only display information that can be read by a DNS look up. For more information, see What is DNS?
Before you begin, ensure you have the verification TXT value Google provides.
NOTE: You must use our nameservers to complete these steps. If you use a different set of nameservers, contact those nameservers' administrator for more information.
To Use TXT Records to Verify Your Domain
- Log in to your Account Manager.
- From the My Products section, click Domain Manager.
- Click the domain name you want to use.
- From the Total DNS section, click Total DNS Control.
- In the TXT (Text) section, click Add New TXT Record.
- Complete the on-screen fields, and then click OK:
- TXT Name — Leave this field empty.

TXT Value — Enter the entire TXT value Google provides. For example,
"google-site-verification: yourtoken".
