Adding SSL Website Seals to Web Pages in Website Builder
NOTE: This article is for Website Builder version 6. Your version displays at the top of the screen when you log in to your Website Builder account. Not using version 6? Search for Website Builder version 7 articles.
If you have created a website with Website Builder and you've also purchased an SSL certificate, you can display a Website Seal on your Web pages. A Website Seal lets your visitors know that information they send through your website, such as payment or contact information, is secure.
There are two ways you can add a Website Seal to your Web pages: You can insert a Website Seal using a menu in the Page Designer. Website Builder automatically detects an SSL you associate with your domain.
You can also add a Website Seal by retrieving the HTML from the SSL in your account, and then pasting it into content blocks where you want it to display. You may find this method useful if you're confident that you can edit the HTML to adjust how your Website Seal displays.
Inserting a Website Seal with the Page Designer
Website Builder automatically detects an SSL you purchased, letting you add it in the Page Designer.
To Add a Website Seal with the Page Designer
- Log in to your Website Builder account.
- From the Design drop-down menu, click Launch Page Designer. Your website displays in the page designer.
- From the Page drop-down menu, select the page where you want to display the Website Seal.
- Click Popular, and then drag and drop the Site Seal icon over a Drop Zone. Drop Zones display on your Web pages when you hover over them.
- Re-publish your website to display the Website Seal on your Web page.
Adding Website Seal HTML to Content Blocks
Retrieve and copy the HTML for your Website Seal so you can paste it into content blocks where you want to display it.
To Add Website Seal HTML to Content Blocks
- Log in to your Account Manager.
- Click SSL Certificates.
- Go to the certificate you want to display on your website, and then click Manage.

- Select your color, and then click Save.
- In the HTML field, copy the HTML for your Website Seal. You can also edit the HTML if you paste it into a basic word-processing application, such as Microsoft® WordPad®.
Note: Do not use Microsoft Word®, as you will carry over unseen formatting that can cause your Web page to display incorrectly.
