Change a Site's Domain Name

You can change your Managed WordPress account's domain name to use a different domain.

There are a few things to keep in mind:

  • If you already added the domain name you want to use as your primary hosted domain name, you need to remove it first. You might also need to remove any subdomains of your primary domain name before you can change it. For more information, see Remove domains.
  • If you have an SSL certificate applied to your hosting account, you cannot change your primary hosted domain name without revoking your SSL. For more information, see Revoke a certificate.
  • You can find details about what we do to your Managed WordPress account when you change the domain name in What happens when I change my domain?
  1. Log in to your GoWebsite account.
  2. Click Managed WordPress.
