Configuring Smarthost on Windows Servers Using Mailenable

To configure Smarthost on a Windows server using MailEnable:

  1. Log in to your Windows Server Remote Desktop as "administrator"
  2. Click on Start and go to All Programs.
  3. Under the MailEnable menu, select MailEnable Administrator.

    If the option is not there, browse to C:\Program Files (x86)\Parallels\Plesk\Mail Servers\Mail Enable\Admin\MailEnableAdmin
  4. Expand the MailEnable Management directory.
  5. Expand servers.
  6. Expand localhost and select Connectors.
  7. Right-click on SMTP and select properties.
  8. Click on the Smart Host tab to display the Smart Host settings window.

    You must enable the postmaster mailbox before you can access the Smart Host settings.

  9. Select the checkbox for Smart Host Enabled.
  10. In the IP/Domain field, enter your server's email relay server (more info).
  11. Click OK and close MailEnable.
