Managing Statistics in Quick Blogcast
You can manage statistics and reports in Quick Blogcast® for various features of your blog. These include how your visitors get to your blog, how frequently they visit, what they view, and which posts they comment on.
To View Statistics
- Log in to your Account Manager.
- Click Quick Blogcast.
- In the Quick Blogcast Account list, click Launch next to the account you want to work with.
- From the Blog tab, go to Visitor Interaction and click Statistics.
Statistics Home
On the Statistics Home page, you can select the type of statistics you want to view. By selecting the Day, Week, Month, Year, or All icons, you can change your Website statistics over a set period. Using the From and To fields, you can specify the date range you want to display. Quick Blogcast does not retain statistics before August 2008.
NOTE: When collecting Website statistics, Quick Blogcast does not include visits to your Website from Web crawling bots, such as Google®.
On the Statistics Home page, statistics are grouped into the following sections:
Visits at a Glance
A line graph depicts the number of visits to your blog for the specific period of time you specify.
Real-Time Statistics
Real-time stats give you an up-to-the-minute account for how your blog is performing in the following areas:
- Post Views by Hour/Day
- Displays a list of the most frequently viewed posts for every hour of the current day or every day of the current week.
- Post Survey Results
- Select the post for which you want to view the statistics, or select All Posts to view statistics for all posts, and then specify the time period for which you want to view the results.
The Survey Results report displays the following information:
- Liked Column — Displays the number of people who indicated they liked the article.
- Disliked Column — Displays the number of people who indicated they disliked the article.
- No Opinion Column — Displays the number of people who indicated they had no opinion about the article.
- Total Column — Displays the total number of people who voted on the article.
- Commenter Activity
- Displays a list of commentors (by email address) and the total number of comments remaining.
- Post Activity
- Displays a list of posts with the total number of comments and the percentage of total comments attributed to each post for the current day.
- More Discussion Activity...
- Displays the number of blocked comments and blocked trackbacks with the total number of comments and trackbacks for the current day.
Detailed Statistics
Each of these options lists the top statistics for that section. By default, each section displays as a chart. However, each section also has a Details link that displays the total and percentage details. Additionally, you can view all statistics for a given section by clicking View full report.
Content
- Top Posts
- All viewed posts with the number of views and the percentage of total views each one generates.
- Top Categories
- All viewed categories with the number of views and the percentage of total views each one generates.
- Top Podcast Downloads/Plays
- The number of plays or downloads for each podcast and the percentage of total views each one generates.
- Top Vlog Downloads/Plays
- The number of plays or downloads for each vlog and the percentage of total views each one generates.
- Top Printed Posts
- The most frequently printed posts with the percentage of total views each one generates in descending order.
RSS Contacts
- RSS Views by Type
- The number of each RSS feed type used to subscribe to your Website and the percentage of total RSS feeds of that type.
- Top Posts
- Posts to which users most frequently subscribe with the number of views and the percentage of total views each one generates.
- Top Categories
- Categories to which users most frequently subscribe with the number of views and the percentage of total views each one generates..
- Top Podcast Downloads/Plays
- Podcasts to which users most frequently subscribe with the number of views and the percentage of total views each one generates.
Traffic
- Top Search Engines
- The search engines used to access your blog with the number of hits and the percentage of total hits from each.
- Top Search Terms
- The search terms used to access your blog with the number of hits and the percentage of total hits from each.
- Top Referring Websites
- The referring URLs used to access your blog with the number of hits and the percentage of total hits from each.
- Top Direct Links
- The URLs used to directly access your blog with the number of hits and the percentage of total hits from each.
- Top Post Traffic
- In descending order, the most frequently viewed posts with the total number of hits separated by hits coming to your Website directly, from referring Websites, and from search engines.
Visitors
- Top Operating Systems
- The operating systems that visitors used to view your blog with the number of visits and percentage of total visits from each.
- Top Browsers
- The Web browsers that visitors used to view your blog with the number of visits and percentage of total visits from each.
- Top IP Addresses
- The IP addresses of your blog's visitors with a total number and percentage of hits that come from each IP address.
NOTE: Visitor statistics refer to all visits from all visitors. Quick Blogcast statistics do not currently separate unique visitor information from that of return visitors.
Top Statistics
Check your total visits, comments, and trackbacks, as well as the average number of entry views per day. You can also see a breakdown of other statistics on your top entries, such as which podcasts and vlogs are downloaded most often and which posts receive the most views and are subscribed to most often.
- RSS Subscriber Post Views
- Entry count and frequency (the rate at which posts are being written in your blog, per day, week, month, and year), along with the total number of words contained in all posts.
- Post Views
- In descending order, the most frequently viewed posts with the percentage of total views each one generates.
- Vlog Downloads
- In descending order, the vlogs to which users have subscribed most frequently with the percentage of total downloads for each.
- Podcast Downloads
- In descending order, the podcasts to which users have subscribed most frequently with the percentage of total downloads for each.
Traffic Summary
A pie chart and a breakdown of how viewers are accessing your Website gives you an overview of Website traffic.
- External Referral
- The total number and percentage of visitors that accessed your Website from an external Website.
- Search Engine Referral
- The total number and percentage of visitors that accessed your Website through a search engine.
- Displays a list of the most frequently subscribed to posts, in descending order.
- Podcast Counts (by Category):
- The number of posts assigned each of the categories. Only categories that contain posts are shown. -->
- Self Referral
- The total number and percentage of visitors that accessed your Website directly.
Top Post Traffic
Top Post Traffic displays, in descending order, the most frequently viewed posts with the total number of hits separated by hits coming to your Website directly, from referring Websites, and from search engines.
