Managing Your Hosted Exchange Email SharePoint Websites
SharePoint helps you facilitate collaboration, provides content management features, and supplies access to information that is essential to your organization. You can quickly create SharePoint Websites that support specific content publishing, content management, records management, or business intelligence needs.
Adding SharePoint Websites
You can create a a variety of SharePoint Websites, one per plan, that all users in the organization can access.
To Add a SharePoint Website
- Log in to your Account Manager.
- Click Email.
- Above your Email Account list, click the Microsoft Email hyperlink.
- On the Manage Hosted Exchange Email page, click Launch next to the account you want to work with.
- In the Hosted Exchange Email Manager, open the folder of the Organization for which you want to add a SharePoint Website.
- Open the SharePoint Websites folder.
- Above your list of SharePoint Websites, click Add SharePoint.
- On the Select Plan page, select the following and then click Next:
- Organization
- The Organization for which you want to create the new SharePoint Website.
- Plan
- The Hosted Exchange Email plan that will be the admin for the SharePoint Website.
- On the Configure SharePoint page, complete the following and then click Next:
- SharePoint Owner
- Select the user to designate as the owner or administrator of the SharePoint Website.
- Template
- Select the layout you want to apply to the SharePoint Website.
- Site Name
- Enter a name for the new SharePoint Website.
- Host URL
- Keep the default URL created by the system, or enter a URL for the Website.
- On the Confirm Configuration page, verify that the Organization and Plan you selected are correct and that the SharePoint settings you selected and entered are correct.
- Click Finish.
Editing SharePoint Websites
If you need to, you can change the owner or the URL of your SharePoint Website.
To Edit a SharePoint Website
- Log in to your Account Manager.
- Click Email.
- Above your Email Account list, click the Microsoft Email hyperlink.
- On the Manage Hosted Exchange Email page, click Launch next to the account you want to work with.
- In the Hosted Exchange Email Manager, open the folder of the Organization that contains the SharePoint Website you want to modify.
- Open the SharePoint Websites folder.
- In your list of SharePoint Websites, in the Actions column, click the Edit icon for the Website you want to modify.
- In the Edit SharePoint Website section, you can edit the following:
- SharePoint Owner
- To change the owner of the SharePoint Website, select the email address of the new owner from the list.
- Host URL
- To change the URL for your SharePoint Website, you can enter a new URL or click the Use Hosted URL hyperlink to use the default URL.
- Click OK.
Deleting SharePoint Websites
When you no longer need a SharePoint Website, you can delete it from your account. Once a SharePoint Website is deleted, users in your organization can no longer access the Website or the information on the Website.
To Delete a SharePoint Website
- Log in to your Account Manager.
- Click Email.
- Above your Email Account list, click the Microsoft Email hyperlink.
- On the Manage Hosted Exchange Email page, click Launch next to the account you want to work with.
- In the Hosted Exchange Email Manager, open the folder of the Organization that contains the SharePoint Website you want to delete.
- Open the SharePoints folder.
- In your list of SharePoint Websites, in the Actions column, click the Delete icon for the Website you want to remove.
- In the Delete SharePoint Website section, select Delete selected SharePoint Websites, and then click OK.
Adding Storage Space to your SharePoint Website
If you need additional space for your SharePoint Website, you can add storage space to your account from the Account Manager.
To Add Storage Space to your SharePoint Website
- Log in to your Account Manager.
- Click Email.
- Above your Email Account list, click the Microsoft Email hyperlink.
- In your Hosted Exchange Email Accounts list, click the name of the account you want to upgrade.
- In the Account Details section, click Upgrade/Downgrade Microsoft Email Account.
- Under Add Ons, select Additional Disk Space, and then select the amount of disk space you want to add to the account.
- Click Continue and proceed through the check out process.
