Upgrading Applications Installed Through Your Control Panel
To help you maintain applications you install through your control panel (more info), we have tools to help you maintain it.
Applications you use for your website, like WordPress®, Drupal®, and Joomla!® need to be updated frequently to patch issues developers find with them.
Some of these applications will automatically update themselves. However, if you have an older version of the application, have that feature disabled, or the application does not offer automatic updates, you can manually update your applications through your control panel.
To Upgrade Your Application through Your Control Panel
- Log in to your GoWebsite account.
- Click Web Hosting.
Click one of the following, based on the type of hosting you have. You can tell this by the second word in your hosting's description beneath your hosting account's domain name, e.g. Deluxe Web correlates to Web/Classic (Hosting Control Panel).
- Next to the hosting account you want to use, click Manage.
- From the More menu, select Applications.
- In the My Applications section, click Manage.
- Next to the application you want to use, click Upgrade to..., and then click OK.
