Why is Webmail in Parallels Plesk Panel 8.1 for Fedora 4 or CentOS 4 not working?

Symptom:

Webmail in Parallels Plesk Panel 8.1 for Fedora 4 and CentOS 4 doesn't work as expected or at all.

Reason:

It is due to a bug in Parallels Plesk Panel 8.1 for Fedora 4 and CentOS 4 after finishing the Parallels Plesk Panel questionnaire the localhost localhost.localdomain entries are removed from your /etc/hosts file.

Add the localhost localhost.localdomain entries back into your /etc/hosts file.

If you are running Parallels Plesk Panel 8.1 and provisioned or reprovisioned your server before March 7, 2007, you may experience this issue. This Parallels Plesk Panel bug does not affect newly provisioned servers.
