Cancel My Domain

You can cancel a domain name so that it is no longer registered to you. Depending on the type of domain name you cancel, the registry might hold it before releasing it for other users to register. You might be able to re-register the domain name, subject to additional registration fees.

After canceling a domain name, it is immediately removed from your account. The cancelation cannot be undone.

  1. Log in to your GoWebsite account.
  2. Next to Domains, click Manage.

How you now access the DNS manager will depend on the view of your account.

Card View

In Card View, your account will look something like this:

  1. Select the domain name you want to use, click Text Icon (Settings) and select Domain Settings.
  2. Under Additional Settings, click Delete domain.
  3. Select Yes, I want to delete this domain and make it available to someone else to register.
  4. Click Delete domain.

List View

In List View, your account will look something like this:

  1. Select the domain name you want to delete.
  2. From the More menu, select Delete Domain.
  3. Read the deletion warning, select I want to delete this domain(s), and then click Delete.

Deleting your domain name does not entitle you to a refund of any part of your registration fee. For more information, see our Refund policy.
