Why Do I Get An Error Message When Importing?

When Website Builder v6 imports your InstantPage® website, an error message displays when any portion of your InstantPage website doesn't completely transfer. If the error message displays, don't worry.

Click Retry Import to restart the import process. You can also click Go To My Account to launch Website Builder from your account and restart the import process. Some reasons why the error message displays include:

  • Incomplete download of images
  • Incomplete transfer of files
  • Incomplete transfer of content
  • Database save errors

When Website Builder completely transfers your InstantPage website, the Getting Started page displays. To complete the import, click Get Started.

Note: The import process must restart if you close the Getting Started page before you click Get Started.
