What's a Virtual Dedicated Server?
Virtual dedicated servers offer many of the capabilities
and features of dedicated servers, including admin (root)
access and dedicated IP addresses, but at a much lower price.
The customer shares server space with a small number of
other customers. But because each virtual dedicated server
is effectively isolated from other accounts on the server,
the user has full control over the server space.
What's a Dedicated Server?
Unlike normal hosting plans, which put many customers' accounts
on a single server, a dedicated server is reserved exclusively
for the account and usage of a single customer. The dedicated
server customer has exclusive rights to the server's bandwidth,
memory and storage space; performance will not be affected
by traffic and usage patterns of other customers.
