Changing Your Website Builder's Template
With our Website builders — Website Builder, Quick Shopping Cart® and Quick Blogcast® — you can easily change your website's template at any time. New templates let you experiment with different combinations of designs and colors, which can completely change the look and feel of your Website. Most templates let you switch to a new one with all your Website's content displaying at similar locations on your Web pages.
If you associate more than one Website builder with your domain, you can select a template that works with all of them. For example, you can give your website and Web store a matching look and feel when you apply the same template to Website Builder and Quick Shopping Cart. However, to create distinct appearances for your Website builders you can also apply different templates to each one. From the Templates tab, you can manage templates for all your Website builders.
To find the template that's right for your Website, search through them using several criteria. These include any keywords you want, and filters such as whether navigation links display horizontally or vertically, and which colors the template displays most prominently. Simply select the criteria you want, and then click Search. Or, to refine your search, select additional criteria, select Search within results, and then click Search.
To Change Your Template
- Log in to your Account Manager.
- Click any of your Website builders. These include Website Builder, Quick Shopping Cart and Quick Blogcast.
- Click the Templates tab. The Template window displays.
- Optional: From the Preview menu, select the Website builder you want to preview with the new template.
- Optional: From the Sort menu, select Date to view recently created templates. Select Name to view templates in alphabetical order.
- From the Template Gallery tab, hover your mouse over the template you want. The Apply Template menu displays.
- Select the Website builders where you want to apply the template, and then click Apply.
To view your active templates, which display live on the Internet, go to the My Templates tab. To open any of your Website builders, from the Template Gallery tab, hover your mouse over the Website builder you want, and then click Work on My Website.
