Creating a Single Event in Calendar Using Click and Drag

You can quickly and easily create a new event in Calendar using the "click and drag" feature, either in day/week or monthly views. Here’s how:

To Create a Single Event in Calendar Using Click and Drag in Day/Week View

1. Go to Calendar.
2. Click on the desired start time and date you would like to create your event, drag to the desired end time, and then release the mouse button (drop).

NOTE:If there is a time or date conflict for the event you are creating, the event block will be red.

3. A pop-in window appears, showing the date and time. Enter an event title.
4. (Optional) From the Calendar drop-down, you have the option to select your calendar.
5. (Optional) Click Edit Event Details to add attendees and resources.
6. Click Save.

To Create a Single Event in Calendar Using Drag and Drop in Month View

1. Go to Calendar.
2. Click on the start day you would like to create your event, drag to the desired end time, and then release the mouse button (drop).

NOTE:In Month View, the event defaults to the entire day. Also, if there is a time or date conflict for the event you are creating, the event block will be red.

3. A pop-in window appears, showing the date. Enter a new event title.
4. (Optional) From the Calendar drop-down, you have the option to select your calendar.
5. Click Save.
