Do you disable any ColdFusion features?

We disable the following features on IIS6 shared hosting accounts, running ColdFusion 7:

• CFExecute
• CreateObject function and the <cfobject> tag
• CFRegistry
• JSP, Java® servlets, and Java Objects
• Remote Development Services (RDS)
• SSH

We enable the CreateObject() function on Windows® IIS 7 shared hosting accounts, running ColdFusion 8. The following functions are disabled:

• CreateObject(.NET)
• CreateObject(COM)
• CreateObject(CORBA)
• CreateObject(Java)
• CreateObject(WebService)

You can use the CreateObject function to create instances of ColdFusion components or CFCs. For more information see How Do I Use ColdFusion Components (CFCs)?.
