Here's the Lowdown: You can import an existing list of subscribers using a .txt or .csv file where the columns are separated by tabs, commas, colons, or semicolons. Read on for a quick method to add your existing subscribers!
To expedite the creation of your Express Email Marketing subscriber base, you can update your subscriber list by importing a previously-compiled customer list. Express Email Marketing notifies you by email when it has finished updating your list.
To Import a Customer List
- Log in to your Account Manager.
- In the My Products section, click Express Email Marketing.
- On the Express Email Marketing page, click Open Express Email Marketing for the account you want to modify.
- Click List Database Manager, and then click Import List.
- You must read and indicate Agree for each of the following terms in order to import your subscriber list:
- I am a known sender
- I accept the bounce limit
- I will not send Spam
- Click Browse, locate and select the file you want to import, and then click Import File.
NOTE: Only .txt and .csv files can be imported and the data columns must be separated by tabs, commas, colons, or semicolons.
- Activating Update existing records updates any existing subscriber information with the data contained in the imported file, if present.
- Selecting First row includes column headings indicates that the first row of the imported file contains column heading information.
- From the Select Delimiter list, select the delimiter used in the imported file to separate column values.
- If no column headings were included in the imported file, choose the appropriate title for the data column. You can also ignore a column by choosing Ignore.
- In the Interest Groups section, select the interest group to associate with the imported subscribers, if any.
- Click OK.
