When you're ready to publish your website with Apple iWeb, it helps to have the following things before you start:
If you previously used your domain name for another service, see Change nameservers for my domains for help setting the nameservers for your domain to point to the hosting account.
How you publish your Website depends on your version of iWeb. Follow these steps to find the version.
The version of iWeb displays, for example, "iWeb '08 version 2.0.4."
If you used Apple iWeb '09 to build your Website, you can publish directly to your hosting account.
Site Name | A name for your Website. We recommend not using underscores, which can cause errors. |

URL | Your Website's URL — e.g. www.coolexample.com. |
If you used Apple iWeb '08 to build your Website and want to publish it to your hosting account, use Publish to a Folder, then manually upload the files to your hosting account via FTP.
iWeb '08 creates a folder on your computer containing your website's files. Upload the content of this folder (containing the index.html
file, other HTML files, and folders), but not the folder itself.
