While junk email might be worth a laugh or two, it's not funny when it overruns your inbox. You can use Web-Based Email's spam filter to prevent unsolicited junk email from clogging up your inbox.
However, our spam filter might filter legitimate email, so keep that in mind when choosing your setting's strength. Very High is most likely to filter all spam, but it's also most likely to filter legitimate email. Very Low filters the least amount of spam, but it's also unlikely to filter legitimate email.
To Enable and Set Spam Filtering
- Log in to Web-Based Email.
- From the Settings menu, select Spam Settings.
- Complete the on-screen fields:
- Spam Filtering Is — Select to turn spam filtering On or Off.
- Behavior Select to Deliver to Bulk Mail Folder or Mark Subject with [SPAM] and leave it in its current folder.
- Strength — Select the spam filtering strength. Stronger filters are more likely to filter legitimate email along with most spam.
- From When I mark messages as spam, select Web-Based Email's when you mark a message as spam. If you want to block further emails from senders whose emails you mark as spam, select Add senders to my Blocked List.
You can also mark individual emails as spam.
To Mark Email as Spam
- Log in to Web-Based Email.
