Managing Your Info@ Email Address
When you register a single domain name with us, we automatically set up a info@ email address with your domain. It's likely you'll want to change the randomly generated password. You can also change the info@ prefix, for example, to yourname@.
There are a couple places where you can locate the password. If you don't note or forget it, you can still change it in the Workspace Control Center, the control panel where you manage all your Workspace applications.
Your password first displays on the order confirmation screen, after you registered your domain and completed checkout. We also send you an email noting your password, with a link that lets you change it.
If you'd like to change the prefix of your info@ email address, delete it in the Workspace Control Center. Don't worry, you still have the free credit for a Workspace Webmail account. We automatically redeemed it to get you started with a custom email address.
To Change Your Email Password
- Log in to your Account Manager.
- Click Email.
- Next to the account you want, click Launch. The Workspace Control Center displays.
- Next to the account you want to change, hover over the
(menu icon), and then click Edit. The Edit Account window displays. - In the Password field, enter your new password.
- In the Confirm Password field, confirm your new password.
- Click OK.
It can take up to 30 minutes for a new password to take effect.
To Change Your Email Prefix
- Log in to your Account Manager.
- Click Email.
- Next to the account you want, click Launch. The Workspace Control Center displays.
- Next to the account you want to change, hover over the (menu icon), and then click Delete. The Confirm account delete window displays.
- Click OK. The Confirm account delete window displays.
- Click OK. Your email address deletes.
- Click Create. The Create Account window displays.
- Enter the email address you want, enter a password, and then confirm the password.
- Go to the Email tab, and enter or select the following:
- Plan — Your only plan might be a free email address. If not, select the plan you want to use.
- Quota — Enter the amount of storage space for the email address. An email plan lets you set up multiple email addresses, but you have a limited amount of storage space to allot to each one.
- Make this a catch-all account — Make this mailbox a catchall, an address specified to receive all messages addressed to an incorrect email address for domains.
- Send copy of incoming email to — Enter additional email addresses you want to receive messages addressed to this account.
- SMTP relays per day — Select how many SMTP relays to assign to the account. For more information, see Managing Your Email Account SMTP Relays.
- Enable SPAM filter — Select this option to enable a spam filter, and then select a spam filter to use.
- Enable auto reply — Select this option to enable automatic replies from your account, and then enter or select the following:
- Reply frequency — Select Once per sender to send one auto reply to each sender, ignoring additional messages from them. Select Once per message to send auto replies to each message your account receives.
- Reply from — Select to send messages from your own email address, or select Other, and then enter another email address.
- Reply subject — To display the original subject from the message thread, select Auto-Reply [original subject]. To enter a custom subject, select Other, and then enter the subject.
- Reply subject — To display the original subject from the message thread, select Auto-Reply [original subject]. To enter a custom subject, select Other, and then enter the subject.
- Select a Start time and End time for the duration auto reply is enabled.
- Message — Enter text for your auto reply.
- Click Create.
It can take up to 10 minutes to get back your free credit.
There are a couple things you can do now. To start using your email address, click Create, and then log in at login.secureserver.net. Or you can follow the steps below to modify a few optional settings.
