Managing Your Website Builder Guestbook
You can add a guestbook to your Website Builder®. A guestbook is a page where visitors can comment on your Website content, or just say hello. You can set entries to require approval or to display immediately, or modify your guestbook display colors to compliment the look and feel of your website.
Log in to your Website Builder account, and select Guestbook from the Add-Ons menu. There are three tabs for managing your Guestbook settings. Here's what you can do on each tab:
Settings Tab
The Settings tab lets you customize the way your comments (entries) are managed and displayed. You can:
- Select Approval Types for comments.
Automatic — Entries are published immediately.
Manual — Entries are published only with your approval. - Select Send Email to receive an email message when new comments are added.
- Enter the number of entries to display per page.
- Use the profanity filter to prevent words in the Word List from being posted.
NOTE: Click Edit Word List to add or delete words from the word filter. Click Use Default List to use the predetermined words.
Entries Tab
Website Builder classifies your users' comments as entries. You can sort your entry view using the following categories:
- Approved — The entry has been approved.
- Pending — The entry is pending approval.
- All — Approved entries and entries pending approval.
Display Tab
On the Display tab, you can customize colors for guestbook buttons, texts, and panels. Select the text or area you want to update, and then use the color selector on the right.
Click Preview Changes to view the modified version of your guestbook. After you make updates, click Apply to save your changes.
