Pull Your Production Site to the Staging Environment

When you pull your Managed WordPress Website to the staging environment, this creates a copy of your Website. You can then edit this copy as much as you want without those changes affecting your main Website.

1. Log in to Gateway.
2. Choose the Managed WordPress account you want to use, and click Settings.
3. Click the Staging tab.
4. Select Pull production to staging.
5. If you want to copy across a version of your production Website exactly as it is, select Overwrite content even when staging version is more recent. If you made recent changes in your staging environment, selecting this will overwrite those changes.
6. Click OK.

Next Steps

• Now that you have performed a pull, you can start making changes by accessing your staging environment.
• If you are satisfied with your changes, and you want to bring those changes live, you can Push your staging environment to the production Website.
