Push Your Staging Environment to the Production Site

After working on your Website in the staging environment, you can perform a push. This will take all the changes you made on your staging environment, and bring them live on your Managed WordPress Website.

  1. Log in to Gateway.
  2. Choose the Managed WordPress account you want to use, and click Settings.
  3. Click the Staging tab.
  4. Select Push staging to production.
  5. If want to move content (e.g. posts, comments, pages) created in staging to production, select Overwrite content.

If you push with this option selected, any posts, comments or other content that do not exist in staging will no longer exist. Always make sure that the Website you have on staging is what you want live before performing a push to production.

  6. Click OK.
