What is the process for registering .nz domain names?
The .nz country-code top-level domain name (CCTLD) is an extension representing New Zealand. For companies that conduct business in New Zealand and individuals who want to reach the growing number of Internet users there, .nz domain names are a good investment. Registering a .nz domain name gives you regional recognition and an easy-to-manage Web presence.
Anyone can register .nz domain names on a first-come, first-served basis.

To Register a .nz Domain Name
- On our home page, in the Domain Name Search area, enter the domain name, and then select the desired .nz extension.
- Click Go, proceed through the screens to Checkout, and then complete the purchase.
Domain names can be up to 63 characters, with a minimum of three characters, and can contain letters (a to z), numbers (0 to 9), and hyphens (except at the beginning or end of the domain name). You cannot register domain names with special characters, such as & and #.
