About .CH Domain Names
The .CH country-code top-level domain name (ccTLD) is an extension that represents Switzerland. For companies that conduct business in Switzerland and individuals who want to reach the growing number of Internet users there, .CH domain names are a good investment. Registering a .CH domain name gives you regional recognition and an easy-to-manage Web presence.
Anyone can register .CH domain names on a first-come, first-served basis.
SWITCH is the registry for .CH domain names.
New registration & renewal length supported is 1 year ONLY. Bulk is supported.
There is no registration grace period.
Explicit renewals are not allowed. There is no auto-renewal grace period.
Both transfers in and transfers out are supported for .CH domain names. For more information on transfers in, please see Preparing to Transfer Domain Names to Us.
NOTE: A valid Authorization Code must be provided to initiate a transfer successfully. You may obtain the authorization code from the losing registrar.
You must initiate the transfer through your new registrar. The transfer requires an authorization code. Please contact our support team to request it.
No. We are not offering Domains By Proxy®, Private Registration, Protected Registration, Business Registration and Deluxe Registration because of the trustee requirement.
No. We do not currently support the backorder of .CH domain names. Public, expired and drop-caught auctions are also not supported.

Yes. The number of nameservers required in order for a domain to resolve is 2 and the maximum length of a nameserver name is 189 characters.
No. Currently, DNSSEC isn't supported.

NOTE: Domain names beginning or ending with hyphens, as well as domain names with hyphens in the third and fourth positions, are prohibited.
