Add My Own Host Names as Nameservers

If you need to create nameservers for your domain name, you can register your own host names using a domain you have registered through us. You can add up to 13 host names, depending on the maximum number the TLD registry allows.

WARNING: This feature is intended for advanced users.

  1. Log in to your GoWebsite account.
  2. Next to Domains, click Manage.

How you add host names will depend on the view of your account.

Card View

In Card View, your account will look something like this:

  1. Select the domain name you want to use, click Text Icon (Settings) and select Manage DNS.
  2. Under the Advanced Features section, click Host names.
  3. Click Add.
  4. Enter the Hostname and Host IP Address you want to use.
  5. Click Save.

After creating your own nameservers, you need to set the domain name to use them (more info).

List View

In List View, your account will look something like this:

  1. Click the domain name you want to use.
  2. Click on the Settings tab.
  3. Under Host names, click Manage.
  4. Click Add Host name.
  5. Enter the Host name and Host IP Address you want to use, and then click Add.
  6. Click Save.

After creating and adding your host names, you need to set the domain name to use them.
