Adding Image Collections to Website Builder

You can add multiple series of images to pages in Website Builder by creating image collections. You can build image collections using images from the Image Library, which contains both stock images and images that you upload, or from your Photo Album account. For more information about the Image Library, see Using the Image Library.

You can also manage the layouts of your image collections and use Lightbox. For more information on Lightbox, see What is Lightbox?. You can add or delete images, specify the number of columns and rows that display, and edit image descriptions. To display your image collections online, you must publish your website.

To Add Image Collections

  1. Log in to your Website Builder account.
  2. If necessary, from the Page list, select the page you want to edit.
  3. Click the block you want to edit. Blocks are outlined in blue.
  4. Click to place your cursor in the location where you want to add your image collection.
  5. Go to the Insert tab, and then from the Images menu, select Image Collection.
  6. Select a source for creating your image collection:
    • Gallery — Lets you import images from your Photo Album account to create your image collection.
      • Select the Photo Album account you want to import and the gallery that contains the images you want, click Add, and then click OK.
    • Individual — Lets you insert individual images from the Image Library or custom images that you uploaded to create your image collection.
      • Click Select Images, select the images you want to use, and then click OK.

Displaying Your Image Collections as Thumbnails

You can display your image collections as a series of thumbnail images.

To Display Your Image Collections as Thumbnails

  1. Select Thumbnails.
  2. If you want to show image titles when visitors mouse over images in your image collection, from the Show image titles menu, select Yes.
  3. Specify the number of Columns and Rows you want to display in the image collection.
  4. If you want to specify the shapes of your images after cropping, from the Image resizing menu, select Square, Portrait, or Landscape.
  5. Go to the Preview tab, and make sure your image collection displays correctly.
  6. Click OK. The image collection displays in your content block.

Displaying Your Image Collections as Slideshows

You can display your image collections as a series of slideshow images.

To Display Your Image Collections as a Slideshow

  1. Select Slideshow.
  2. If you want to show image titles above or below your slideshow when visitors mouse over images in your image collection, from the Show image titles menu, select Above or Below.
  3. If you want to display a bar that lets visitors scroll through your slideshow, select Show control bar.
  4. From the Control Bar Location menu, select where you want to display the control bar in relation to your slideshow.
  5. Go to the Preview tab, and make sure your image collection displays correctly.
  6. Click OK. The image collection displays in your content block.

Displaying Your Image Collections as Animated Slideshows

You can display your image collections as a series of images enhanced with animation.

To Display Your Image Collections as Animated Slideshows

  1. Select Animated slideshow.
  2. From the Image Size menu, select a size for your slideshow images.
  3. If you want to expand your images to fill the entire slide, select Scale images.
  4. From the Slide Speed menu, select the speed you want your images to change.
  5. If you want your slideshow to begin playing once visitors reach your Web page, select Auto Play.
  6. From the Effects menu, select an animation effect for your images.
  7. If you want to show image titles above or below your slideshow when visitors mouse over images in your image collection, from the Show image titles menu, select Above or Below.
  8. If you want to display a bar that lets visitors scroll through the slideshow, select Display Control Bar.
  9. From the Control Bar Location menu, select where you want to display the control bar in relation to the slideshow.
  10. From the Thumbnail Strip menu, select where you want to display a strip of the slideshow's thumbnail images in relation to the slideshow.
  11. From the Thumbnail Size menu, select a size for the thumbnails.
  12. If you want to expand your images to fill the entire thumbnail, select Scale Thumbnail.
  13. Go to the Preview tab, and make sure your image collection displays correctly.
  14. Click OK. The image collection displays in your content block.

Displaying Your Image Collections through Lightbox

You can display your image collections through a JavaScript application called Lightbox.

  1. Select Lightbox.
  2. From the Image Size menu, select a size for your slideshow images.
  3. If you want to show image titles when visitors click images in your image collection, from the Show image titles menu, select Yes.
  4. Go to the Preview tab, and make sure your image collection displays correctly.
  5. Click OK. The image collection displays in your content block.
