Building Your Coming Soon Pages
If you are not ready to build your website, you can create a Coming Soon page to let visitors know that you're working on it. You can let your visitors know that they have found your website and give them an estimated date of completion.
When creating the Coming Soon page, select a template and enter the text you want visitors to see. You can further modify your page by uploading an image or your logo and specifying an option for displaying the banner.
When you are finished, you can save, preview, or publish your Coming Soon page.
To Create a Coming Soon Page
The first time you launch Website Builder, you can either set up a Coming Soon page or begin designing your website.
To Create a Coming Soon Page
- Log in to your Website Builder account.
- From the Add-Ons menu, select Coming Soon Page.
- In the Click a thumbnail area, click the image that
represents the layout you want to use for your Coming Soon page.
- In the Enter the text area, enter the text you want to
display on your Coming Soon page.
NOTE: This option supports HTML tags.
- In the Banner Settings area, select one of the following:
- Show dark banner
- to display a dark version of the banner.
- Show light banner
- to display a light version of the banner.
- Hide banner
- to prevent the banner from showing.
- (Optional) To add an image or logo, in the Upload area, click Change Image, locate and select the image, and then click OK. For information about locating images in the Image Library, see Using the Image Library.
- When you are finished creating your Coming Soon page, you can select one of the following:
- Preview
- To see what your Coming Soon page looks like.
- OK
- To save your Coming Soon page without publishing it.
- Publish
- To publish your Coming Soon page and make it live on the Internet. If necessary, select Publish Coming Soon Page. Click Publish All. Click OK to confirm you want to publish the Coming Soon page.
To Upload Images on the Coming Soon Page
- Log in to your Website Builder account.
- From the Add-Ons menu, click Coming Soon Page.
- From the Upload an image area, click Change Image.
- To select an image from the Image Library, browse through the category list to locate an image. For information about locating images in the Image Library, see Using the Image Library.
- To select an image from your image library, click the My Images tab.
- Click the image.
- Click OK.
