To use ColdFusion to connect to a database, you must create a ColdFusion DSN.
NOTE: Grid Hosting accounts do not support ColdFusion. To see if you're affected, click here.
To Create a ColdFusion DSN for an Existing Database
- Log in to your Account Manager.
- From the My Products section, click Web Hosting.
- Next to the hosting account you want to use, click Launch.
- Under the Databases section of your Hosting Control Center, click on the MySQL icon.
- Click the Pencil icon next to the database you want to use with ColdFusion.
- Under the ColdFusion DSN Name Information section, select Create ColdFusion DSN.
- Click Continue.
- If everything looks OK, click Update to create a ColdFusion DSN for your database.
