How does Website Protection Website Scanner identify malware?
Website Protection Website Scanner scans your published website and alerts you if your domain or any URLs in your Website, such as links or image references, are flagged for malware or phishing. Website Scanner identifies malware or phishing by verifying URLs in your website with industry-trusted "reputation" resource providers, such as Google® Safe Browsing List and many others.
We even have our own internal "reputation" resource. Our security operations team identifies suspicious or malicious URLs and adds them to our database. This lets Website Scanner potentially identify suspicious links found on your Website faster than anyone else.
Currently, Website Scanner does not examine your Website's code or identify changes to files in your Website.
