If you have a Premium or Professional WebsiteLock account, you can set up SMART scans, which will scan your website's files for known exploits as well as fix them.
If you have a Managed or Fully Managed server and want to configure SMART scans, instead see this article.
SMART needs to connect to your account via FTP to perform the scan and remove malware. This article shows you where to find the settings you need to properly configure SMART.
If WebsiteLock and the domain name are not in the same GoWebsite account, you need to verify your domain ownership before you can perform SMART scans.
Field | What to do... |
---|---|
Method for File Transfers | Select FTP. |
FTP host address | Enter your domain name. |
(S)FTP Port Number | Type 21. |
User ID | Enter your FTP username (cPanel / Plesk) |
Password | Enter your FTP password (cPanel / Plesk) |
If there are sections of your website you don't want SMART to scan, click Manage Exclusions and configure those options.
During your next daily scan, WebsiteLock will download your website's files and scan them for malware and automatically remove any it finds.
