Site Analytics Server Reports
For information on generating reports, see Generating a Report in Website Analytics.
The Server tab provides the following reports, which detail information about your visitor's activities that affect your web server. These reports are only available for websites hosted with us.
Hits
The Hits Report identifies the number of times any item or specific page in the Website is requested or accessed by visitors. This report is useful in determining the total number of times pages, or files within a page, are requested in a given period. The number of hits is almost always greater than the number of page views and visitors to the Website.
Files
File Requests identifies the number of times a specific file (image, document, template, etc.) in the Website is downloaded by visitors. This report is useful in determining what pages within the Website are most often visited and if any of the pages requires a substantial amount of time to load in the visitor's browser.
Resource Types
The Resource Types Report identifies the number of times file (image, document, template, etc.) in the Website has been downloaded by visitors. This report is useful in determining what pages within the Website are most popular.
Bad Resource Links
The Bad Resource Links Report identifies links on your website that direct visitors to non-existent pages or files that are expected to be on your own Website. This does not include links from your website to pages, or files on another website or vice versa.
Errors
The Errors Report indicates if any of the pages on the Website triggered errors during the specified time period, including 404 ("Page Not Found" errors). If errors are detected, the report displays the resources or files in question and the number of errors generated. This report includes those errors generated by bad resource links as well as resources linked to by other websites or typed in by hand. It will also show any attempts made by hackers to discover vulnerabilities in your website.
Bandwidth
The Bandwidth Report summarizes the amount of bandwidth the Website consumed during the given date range. Values are expressed in either Kilobytes or Megabytes, depending on bandwidth used. This report is useful in comparing the actual bandwidth required by your Website with the amount of bandwidth allocated by your hosting plan.
File Bandwidth
The File Bandwidth Report lists the files on the Website that consume the most bandwidth. The bandwidth calculation is generated by multiplying a file's size by the number of times it is downloaded. This report is useful in determining which files may need optimization.
NOTE: GIF and JPG are the most common graphic (image) files supported by Web browsers. HTML (sometimes abbreviated HTM), ASP, and [directories] all represent actual pages.
