Creating Facebook Pages with Website Builder
You can use the Page Designer in Website Builder to create Facebook® pages. You add these pages to your Facebook account, most often as a promotional tool. Facebook pages are a way to display custom content. For example, you can create an About Us page displaying text and images on a profile you created for your business.
By using Website Builder to create Facebook pages, you get the familiarity and convenience of the Page Designer, which lets you upload your content to pages you activate in your Facebook account. You may add text with the Page Designer, and images you upload from your computer. Once you create Facebook pages with Website Builder, you must re-publish your website to display the pages live on your profile.
Facebook pages don't display on the website you created with Website Builder, and visitors can't reach them from your website's navigation. They don't count against the total Web pages allotted to your account, although they are limited:
- Economy — 5 Facebook pages
- Deluxe — 10 Facebook pages
- Premium — 20 Facebook pages
Note: To display Facebook pages live on the Internet, you must have a Facebook account and activate pages in Facebook where you want to display your content. To get started, visit the Facebook website.
To Create Facebook Pages
- Log in to your Website Builder account.
- From the Design menu, select Launch Page Designer.
- From the Page tab, go to the Add Pages menu, and then select Facebook Page.
- Using the Page Designer, add content to your Facebook page. For more information, see Managing Content Blocks in Website Builder and Adding and Deleting Images with Website Builder.
- Go to the Page tab, and then click Connect. The Connect to Facebook window displays.
- Next to the page you want to display on your Facebook profile, click Connect to Facebook. The Connect to Facebook window displays.
- Log in to your Facebook account. The Request for Permission window displays.
- Click Allow. The App Name window displays.
- From the Select your Facebook Page menu, select the Facebook page you want to add to your Facebook profile.
- In the Tab name field, enter a name for the page to display on your Facebook profile.
- From the Audience menu, select the type of Facebook users you want to allow to view the page. For example, you can make the page visible only to Fans or Friends.
- From the Age group menu, select an age range for the Facebook users you want to allow to view the page.
- Click Add Page Tab.
- Go to your Website Builder account, and then re-publish your website. For more information, see Publishing with Website Builder.
- The Facebook Page displays on your Facebook profile.
