Managing Tasks in Contact Manager
Tasks are your tool for staying in touch with your contacts. You can create tasks for emailing, calling, mailing, and meeting with your contacts. For each task, you can add details and schedule a due date.
Editing a Task
You can edit a task to add details, change a due date, or mark it as complete. To edit a task from the Tasks page, take one of the following actions:
- Edit Task Details
- Click on the task text to open the task details window.
- Complete a Task
- Select the task(s) and click Mark Complete.
Deleting a Task
If you no longer need a task, you can select one or more and click Delete.
Managing the Tasks Page View
There are several ways to sort and view your tasks. The Tasks page automatically displays your tasks in these categories:
- Overdue — Displays all tasks that have a scheduled due date prior to today.
- Today — Displays all tasks that have a scheduled due date of today.
- Next 7 Days — Displays all tasks that have a scheduled due date within the next week.
- No Due Date — Displays all tasks that do not have a scheduled due date.
- View Later — Lets you view tasks that have scheduled due dates later than the next week.
In addition to the displayed categories, you can further narrow your tasks display by selecting one of the options from the Show list in the right-hand navigation panel.
