Using the Image Library in Website Tonight
Website Tonight® includes an image library. The image library allows you to select from hundreds of images that you can add to your Web page, or upload your own files to the image library. Supported image types are .jpg, .gif, .png, .bmp, .jpe, .jpeg, .jfif, and .dib.
To Navigate Through the Image Library
- Log in to your Website Tonight account.
- From the Design menu, click Launch Page Designer .
- If necessary, from the Page list, select the page you want to edit.
- Click the block you want to add the image to.
- Position your cursor where you want to add your image.
- Go to the Insert tab, and then select Images.
- Go to one of the following tabs:
- Image Library
- Select an image from Website Tonight's extensive image library. For our Premium Website Tonight customers we partnered with Fotolia to offer you thousands of images to use on your Website Tonight pages. Fotolia is a marketplace for royalty free stock images and illustrations perfect for any website.
- My Images
- Select an image that you uploaded to Website Tonight.
- Upload Image
- Upload an image to the Website Tonight Image Library. Your images are kept separate from the image library that is included with Website Tonight. Your images are only available to you.
To Select Images from the Image Library
- Log in to your Website Tonight account.
- From the Design menu, click Launch Page Designer .
- If necessary, from the Page list, select the page you want to edit.
- Click the block you want to add the image to.
- Position your cursor where you want to add your image.
- Go to the Insert tab, and then select Image.
- Enter search terms in the Search field. Search terms are words that describe the type of image you are looking for. For instance, if you are looking for an image of a boy playing football, you enter: boy, football. Separate search terms with a comma.
- If necessary, you can select an image size by clicking small, medium, or large.
- To view images on another page, from the Page list, select the page number.
- To view images on the next page, click the right arrow button.
- Select the image you want to insert.
- Click OK.
Note: You can manually edit the image size from the edit content window by grabbing a corner of the image and dragging it it to the preferred size.
To Select Images From My Images
- Log in to your Website Tonight account.
- From the Design menu, click Launch Page Designer .
- If necessary, from the Page list, select the page you want to edit.
- Click the block you want to add the image to.
- Position your cursor where you want to add your image.
- Go to the Insert tab, and then select Image.
- Go to the My Images tab.
- In the sort by list, you can select how the images display. You can select the following:
- Name
- Sorts images by name
- Date
- Sorts images by date
- Type
- Sorts images by file type
- Size
- Sorts images by file size
- To view images on another page, from the Page list, select the page number.
- To view images on the next page, click the right arrow button.
- Select the image you want to insert.
- Click OK.
To Upload Images
- Log in to your Website Tonight account.
- From the Design menu, click Launch Page Designer .
- If necessary, from the Page list, select the page you want to edit.
- Click the block you want to add the image to.
- Position your cursor where you want to add your image.
- Go to the Insert tab, and then select Image.
- Go to the Upload Images tab.
- From the Select files(s) section, click Browse.
- Select the image you want to upload, and then click Open. To select multiple images, hold the Ctrl key while selecting images.
- Click Upload. The image is added to the My Images tab.
- Select the image you want to insert, and then click OK.
